Always with us

Jean Marie Kirkpatrick Billig

A California flower, twice transplanted to Massachusetts, she touched people on both coasts in her own unique ways.  She never got to say goodbye and many of those she loved never got to say goodbye to her.  I hope this site will help complete the loop for her friends.  It’s also an opportunity for those who only saw her through one lens and for a short time to see the big and bright spirit she brought to us.

February 17 2016 at 1:49am · My wonderful magical Jean Marie has moved on to a more wonderful magical place. But those of us who got to be with her know that she and what she brought to this party will never be gone. Blessed be.

Max Billig

My dearest mother has finally left us. It was a beautiful moment holding her hand until the very end. She was a bright spot in so many people's lives but the brightest in mine. You loved me no matter what, believed in me when I didn't believe in myself and stuck up for me when no one else did. I know you really wanted to be at my graduation but you'll just be there in a different form. You will always be with dad and I, forever and ever. You are finally free from the restrictions of your body. Thank you for being the best mom ever. I love you more than you could ever imagine.

February 17 at 5:03am · Rest in peaceful serenity Jean Marie. I will miss you forever but know you will always be in my heart. You left so many incredible memories. Let your spirit be with Jeff, Max and all of us as we grieve and celebrate. Thank you for being in my life.

February 18 at 10:05am · San Anselmo, CA · Dear Jean, I know you must be pissed. This isn't how you wanted the story to end. And you had a way of getting what you were after. Feisty that way. What are these poor men going to do without you? Whatever snuck up on you and stole you away from them will have hell to pay. I'm sure you planned to have a lot longer to love them up, and help them be their best. The rest of us will try to help out, but we are poor substitute. Everyone here is going to miss you a lot. Big love to you and the boys.

With sadness I write about my good friend, Jean Marie, who has left this planet for space traveling. I awoke this morning and said, ah, you left the planet (after an illness) and of course learned it on FB to be so. She was a spunky, magical lady who I shared a lot of laughs and rituals with. Jean Marie was a true loyal and loving friend, a great horsewoman and a companion Wiccan. So Mote It Be
A meditation and ritual Wiccan/Goddess style reminds me of the importance of my friend and I believe assists her in completing her journey to the other side. For, Jean Marie, my magical, sweet and cheeky wee friend in celebration and honor of you and our friendship I dressed an angel candle I'd saved for years wondering when to burn. The when was now. I dressed it in the Cleopatra oil you gifted me to find true love, like you and Jeff have. I did find that love. Thank you. I

To know her was to love her. Sweet, sassy, and a little smart assey.....and always the life of the party! You leave behind a legacy! You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace aunt Jean Marie!! I guess I would just want to convey to Jean I always looked up to her and wanted to be just like her when I grew up!  I thought she was the coolest aunt ever....from the horses to her fun style and decorating talents to her life of the party personality....The amazing gifts to always making me feel welcome and that I was important....I cherished every moment and am so sad I didn't take more of an opportunity the last few years!!

February 18 at 2:27pm · New York, NY · My dear, sweet sister-in-law, Jean Marie, departed from this world early yesterday morning. She was beautiful woman, inside and out, and had a playful spirit and a cheeky sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and loved to feed them. Heaven is a happier place with her there. RIP, Jean. You will forever be in our hearts.

I just heard about the shocking passing of one of the greatest girls I have even known. Your Mother would come to my house and relax and call it her spa. We had such great times, her, Cassandra and me.. Her joyfulness and loving spirit and soul will forever be in my heart. God Bless our sweet Jean Marie, gosh we will miss

I sprinkled Goddess/St. Brigid's sacred spring water from a well in Kildare Ireland and also from Glastonburg Tor healing spring water.

No words can express the sorrow at this time. Continuously I reflect on how much your mother shared and taught me, how her great love for her husband and son were all to her and then many fine parts of a most wonderful woman. We grieve.

I met Jean Jean Marie only about a year ago by chance, but we hit it off almost instantly. She was so Spontaneous, free, unencumbered... I can't explain it except to say she had the most wonderful soul of anyone I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I didn't know her long but I will miss her dearly. Happy trails my friend, see you again, and when I do, drinks are on me.
